How do I check the postage balance on my meter?
 

You can check how much funds you have remaining on your Postage by Phone account as follows:

  1. Press “FUNDS” button.

  2. The postage meter will display the remaining funds you have left.
 
How do I add more funds to on my meter?

Can I increase my credit limit on my Postage by Phone account?
  In most cases, yes. Some Postage Meters have an inbuilt “Maximum Download Limit” to protect you against downloading too much money to your Postage Meter at any one time. This is an additional safety precaution for you. Call Pitney Bowes on 13 23 63 to discuss your requirements further.
 
How does the postage invoicing work?
 
  • Firstly, Pitney Bowes (PB) acts as the agent between Australia Post Office (APO) & the Customer towards the administration of the postage meter.

  • A Postage by Phone (PbP) account is set up for postage funds to be downloaded into the Postage Meter. An agreed postage balance should be established at the inception of the contract.

  • Funds from the PbP account can then be downloaded into their postage meter to be used for franking letters.

  • When funds are downloaded into the postage meter:

      – PB pays the value of the funds downloaded into the meter to APO;

      – APO then issues a tax invoice for the value of the download into the meter;

  • PB then issues a tax invoice for the reset fees and also sends out a statement. This statement advises the customer of the value of the postage funds to be paid towards topping up their postage account based on the agreed postage limit.
 
My equipment will not add postage to the meter, why is this?
 

The most typical reasons are:

  1. You are not connected to an analogue line please refer to “How do I know if I have an analogue line” question in the FAQ.

  2. You have no funds in your Postage-By-Phone® account. You can add additional funds to your Postage-By-Phone® account in several ways. You can pay for postage via direct debit, your Australia Post Business Credit Account, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or by cheque. Note that clearance of funds is required before releasing any money into your Postage-By-Phone® account. Please call Pitney Bowes on 13 23 63 to discuss the best payment option for you.
