If you have an IntelliLink® enabled Postage Meter (all current Pitney Bowes Postage Meters have intellilink), you’ll be able to download the new rates straight to your Postage Meter.

If you have a Postage Meter that is not IntelliLink® enabled and relies on a scale to determine the correct postage rate, a chip (often known as a Rate Prom) is required to update your scale with the new rates. Depending on the level of your service agreement you have, a Rate Prom will be automatically mailed to you shortly before the effective rate change date.

If you haven’t received yours yet, or would like to order the current rates (either via a download or Rate Prom, depending on your equipment) contact Pitney Bowes on 13 23 63. Charges may apply.

Can I get my Postage Meter to print my company logo automatically when I do my mail?

Yes, you can. You’ll need to ensure that you have ordered a custom slogan AND provide the artwork to create it. Australia Post requires a return address on all mail that is metered (or franked). Your return address should be included with any artwork sent to Pitney Bowes. Your sales representative can assist you.

The artwork can either a hard copy (such as a copy of your letterhead or compliment slip), or an electronic file (high resolution (300dpi) jpeg, bmp or tif file). Once you have ordered a custom slogan, you can email electronic artwork noting your serial number or account number as a reference.

Remember, once the “custom slogan” is downloaded or installed onto your Postage Meter, you may need to set up a preset so the slogan prints all the time.

How much does it cost to purchase a logo/slogan Ad?

Custom slogans/Ad vary in cost. Call Pitney Bowes on 13 23 63 to speak to a sales representative.

How long does it take for my logo/slogan Ad to arrive after I send the form to you?

Custom slogans/Ad may take up to 5 working days to complete. To install your custom slogan, you will need to install the supplied smart card or download the custom slogan, depending on your Postage Meter model. Instructions on how to install the smart card or download the custom slogan will be provided.

If you do not receive your smart card containing your custom slogan or notification that your custom slogan is ready for download after five days, please call Pitney Bowes on 13 23 63.

If you have a DM100™ series postage meter, your logo/slogan Ad will need to be downloaded. All you need to do is plug your equipment into an analogue phone line and then:

Press the GREEN page down key.
Select “AD”.
Select “Install an AD”.
Select “Connect Now”.
The meter will then dial out. If your AD slogan is available, the “UPDATE AVAILABLE” screen will display.
Select “Get update now”.
The AD file will download to the meter.
When you receive the “SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD COMPLETE” message select “CONTINUE”.
Once the download is complete, the AD will be available in the AD menu.

If you can’t find the logo/slogan Ad after you’ve completed a download, this may be because your slogan may not be ready. Call Pitney Bowes on 13 23 63 to check the status of your logos/slogans Ad.

How do I connect to a Data Centre?

This will depend on what type of postage meter you have. Please contact 13 23 63 for more information.

IMPORTANT: If you own a Pitney Bowes postage meter, an ANALOGUE phone line must be used. Most office telephone systems installed nowadays are NOT analogue and may damage your machine. If you are unsure about your phone line, contact your telephone service provider or IT Department for further advice.

How do I know if I have an analogue line?

Many fax machines use ANALOGUE lines. Some modems and credit card payment machines may also use ANALOGUE lines. If in doubt, please contact your telephone service provider or IT department for further advice.
